Fun and Fundraising on Red Nose Day

Fun and fundraising abounded at Tadcaster Grammar School on Red Nose Day.
Each House had a theme for the day and dressed accordingly, with Fairfax winning the House points for Most and Best Dressed in their fictional outfits. Dynamic duo Mrs Weatherill and Mrs Hubbard certainly pushed the boat out as The Mad Hatter and Robin Hood respectively.
Mr Betts stole the show for Wharfe, dressing as a caveman for his Historical figure (or should that have been hysterical?!). What Did You Want To Be When You Grew Up? created hilarity too for Calcarians, with Mr Punt dressing as James Herriot complete with lambing glove, white coat and wellies. Did you really want to be a vet Mr Punt? It was role reversal for Miss Taylor and Team Toulston as they dressed in school uniform, posing for a photograph after their Assembly. Pyjamas were the order of the day for Mrs Solk and those in Oglethorpe, while cool Mrs Kenny was Mel C as Dawson House dressed as celebrities.
It was non-uniform day for students who were asked to donate £1 for the privilege and they also held a cake stall.
It was a fantastic Red Nose Day at TGS once again with plenty of camaraderie and fundraising for charity and the amazing sum of £1199.66 was raised for Comic Relief.
Well Done to Everyone!
